Plastic
Plastic is the most commonly used material for a trash can or recycling bin. Size ranges from small indoor trash cans or small indoor recycling bins to larger ones that have a greater capacity limit for offices and other business environments or high-traffic spaces. Plastic bins come in styles that hold anywhere from about three to 13 gallons. The larger models can hold up to 32 gallons.

Stainless Steel

A stainless steel trash bin is durable and easy to wipe down with disinfecting wipes. Some designs also offer a touchless feature. This is made possible by either a step or a sensor-activated lid.
