Legal size paper uses
Although letter size printer paper is most commonly in business, legal paper still has plenty of uses. Its length allows users to print large documents on fewer pages and provide extra space for large letterheads. Many careers use this paper, such as lawyers for divorce papers, real estate agents for deeds, or engineers to print large images that won’t fit on letter size. Legal size paper also has home and craft use for greeting cards or invitations.
Legal paper types
There are several different types and styles of legal size paper to choose from. Multipurpose paper is designed for use in copiers and printers. Legal paper can be used in printers without issue as long as it fits inside the machine. Business paper is often made from cotton so it is soft and has a slight texture. This type of legal paper creates an elegant, high-quality finished product. Legal sized cardstock paper is thicker than regular paper for crafts, signs, or brochures. Choose glossy paper for large pictures or colored paper in blue, yellow, white, or pink for printed pages that stand out.
Understanding legal size paper brightness
Paper brightness is how much light is reflected off the surface. Legal size copy paper comes in different brightness levels labeled by a number between 0 and 100. The higher the number, the brighter the page. Choose high numbers between 95 and 100 for signs or pictures that need to stand out. Opt for lower numbers between 80 and 100 for long documents that will take time to read so they won’t strain the eyes.
