OfficeJet 6812 ink comes in two different cartridge numbers. HP 934 is black ink, and 935 is color ink that includes three separate color ink cartridges; cyan, yellow, and magenta. The ink inside these HP printer cartridges is pigment-based, which is resistant to light and water. Pigment-based inks were once geared toward professionals, but are now available for general users to achieve the same bold prints. HP 934 and 935 cartridges also work in other printers in the OfficeJet 6800 All-In-One series.

The number of pages produced becomes the page yield. Standard HP 934 and 935 cartridges have a page yield of up to 400 pages. High yield HP 934XL black cartridges have a yield up to 1000 pages while the color HP 935 high yield cartridge prints up to 825 pages.
