Description
Add StarTech RS-232 DCE serial communications support to a desktop or laptop computer and resolve DCE/DTE conflicts directly without the need for additional cross-wired serial cables or adapters.
- USB serial adapter adds an RS-232 serial DB/DE-9 (female) connector to a desktop or laptop via a USB Type-A port
- Cable length is 3'
- Copper shielding minimizes Electromagnetic and Radio Frequency Interference, while gold-plated connectors enhance signal conductivity
- The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully enumerated on the desktop or laptop
- Add RS-232 capabilities to USB-enabled Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) to connect Data Communication Equipment (DCE) peripherals
- Compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux
- Secure the adapter to a serial device, using pre-installed and removable slotted D-Sub thumbscrews or install the included DB-9 nuts for compatibility with other serial peripheral devices or cables
- Data transmission and reception LED indicators for each port on the adapter provide real-time monitoring of port activity
