OfficeJet 6000 all-in-ones with thermal inkjet cartridges 

The E609 models in the 6000 series are ideal for busy workgroups, home businesses, or small offices that need high-output printing with fast print speeds. Like many ink and toner cartridges, the OfficeJet 6000 ink cartridges contain memory chips to allow them to work in tandem with E609 printing specs. The HP 920 cartridges support fast print speeds of 32 pages in black and 30 pages in color using the draft resolution mode. The ink cartridges also yield high-resolution output. Black cartridges offer a print resolution of up to 1200 dots per inch while color cartridges can yield up to 1200 x 4800 dpi in optimized print output.

Combination pigment- and dye-based inks

The thermal inkjet E609 all-in-one printers use black pigment-based ink and CMY dye-based ink. Like all HP printer cartridges, the ink formulations provide some of the sharpest blacks and most vivid colors in the industry. The key to the pigment-based black ink is its bold layering on paper, producing archival-quality text and images. The dye-based inks yield bright, color-saturated photos and graphics, particularly when used on lab- and presentation-quality paper.

HP 902 pigment- and dye-based inks produce quality output even on multipurpose printing or copy paper. However, the inks excel on media meant for photo-quality printing, including paper-like business-presentation bright-white report paper, brochure paper for report covers, presentations, promotional literature, and glossy and matte paper for lab-quality photo output. In addition, cartridge ink is ideal for envelopes, transparencies, cardstock, and iron-on transfers.

High page-volume yields

Original HP 902 cartridges provide high page yields on their own. Their high-capacity counterparts, HP 902XL ink cartridges, yield more than double the page counts for higher-volume work environments. The four separate types of original and XL cartridge versions provide the following per-cartridge page yields:

• HP 920 original black ink cartridge prints out up to 420 pages
• HP 920XL black ink cartridge yields up to 1,200 pages
• HP 920 original CMY cartridges each yield up to 300 pages
• HP 920XL CMY cartridges print out up to 700 pages

In addition, four-packs of 920XL black and three separate HP 920 original CMY cartridges are available, as three-packs of HP 920 original CMY cartridges on their own.
