HP laptop computers are available with a variety of processors

Both Intel® Core™ i-generation and AMD A-series processors are available with different notebooks from HP, providing the CPU intelligence necessary to support fast connectivity speeds and data transfer rates. The processors offer speeds ranging from 2.8 to 4.1 GHz to provide seamless, responsive multitasking, encompassing productivity applications, HD video viewing, and image creation; many with high-end processing to add in gaming. As with most other computers and laptops, you can easily upgrade the processing units for HP notebooks.

Advanced graphics and displays

HP laptops come with Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA® graphics processors, operating with Intel HD graphics drivers, most with the 520 or 620 versions. Visuals have industry-leading clarity and contrast at each cost level. Screen sizes range from 14 and 15.6 inches to 17.3 inches. Most displays have anti-glare WLED backlighting, with resolutions ranging from 1366 x 768 to 3840 x 2160 pixels, in HD, full HD, or ultra (4K) clarity. Many screens come with micro-edge bezels, letting the screens dominate the displays almost entirely with edge-to-edge glass, and some offer 178-degree viewing angles. Like many other laptop computers, several HP models have touchscreen capability.

HP notebooks with plenty of memory and storage

Laptops from HP come with synchronous dynamic RAM technology, operating with various DDR versions, harmonizing with the processor to provide ramped up output for intense application demands, even when using peripheral ports to operate devices like HP inkjet printers. Memory ranges from 2 to 16GBs of RAM. HP notebooks also come with between 256GB and 1TB of data storage, depending on the hard drive configuration, which is plenty to keep archives of videos or photos on file while also ensuring rapid data transfer speeds.

Laptops from HP have wireless functionality, including connectivity to HP laser printers and inkjet printers, and feature all necessary peripheral ports, like multiple USB 3.1 and 2.0 ports, HDMI and Ethernet RJ-45 ports, and headphone and microphone jacks.
